Outside His Comfort Zone

It was so hot today that we thought Andrés might enjoy the sprinklers. One look at the first two pics tells you we were wrong. He likes looking at the water and listening to it but the only way he likes it against his skin is nice and warm, just like moi.

Daddy's Got A Brand New Camera

So my gadget-fiend husband had been reaserching cameras for about six months and finally pulled the trigger last week. He bought an Olympus with all the bells and whistles but just to be sure he rented a Nikon for the weekend. Man 'o man is he patient. He's spent the weekend learning how to use both so that he can compare them and eventually be sure that he made the right choice.

I in turn had to excersise my patience. This is how the morning went: aim, focus, snap, down goes one camera, up goes the other and aim, focus, snap. It's then off to the computer to finish this time consuming process. And in the end the choice is clear. By the way, the choice is the same one I made a week ago. But it was all worth it, because we really did get some amazing shots today.

Big Boy

Andrés is now 16 weeks and weighs 13 pounds and change. He's playing with all types of toys and putting absolutely EVERYTHING in his mouth. Oh, and he even has a moustache, you can't see it in this picture but trust us, it's there. Check him out in the Bumbo chair, (on loan from Stu).

Hard Times

It's been rough for all of us since I went back to work...I miss my peanut and he really misses our daily afternoons in the park, Dave misses my cooking which has now gone from bad to very bad and we both miss our sleep. For some reason Andrés, who was only waking once is now waking two or three times. Oh well, like titi Erica said "baby life is unpredictable".
