Mas Familia

I got to meet two more great grandfathers in PR and one great grandmother. Unfortunately, my folks forgot the camera so I only have a picture with abuelo Ernesto and not abuelo Victor and abuela Celia. That's ok though because I'm going back in April! In the other pic is my great uncle Junior and his sweetheart Yolanda. He showed us all the great work he's done to the house himself and she cooked us a yummy lunch. Speaking of food, here's a list of all the great new food I tried: eggplant, fresh papaya, tomatoes, beans, one french fry, a tiny piece of red snapper, cheese flan, sancocho (Puerto Rican stew) and mashed plantains with garlic. There's isn't anything I won't try, for the meantime anyway.

My First Swimming Lesson

Mi Prima Gaby

This past July Gaby came to visit, she turned six then and she didn't know how to speak English or swim but now she does both! Our favorite phrase of hers is "What's the matter baby?". And she can pick me up now too.

Happy Trails en el Yunque

The rain forest was as you can imagine, wet. The rivers were full and the waterfalls were strong. We can't wait to go back to hike another trail and dip in a different river.

En Mi Viejo San Juan

It was all fun, the bumpy ride on the cobble stone streets, the older couples dancing salsa to live music in the plaza, the arts and crafts kiosks, the homemade candy, Mami's childhood favorite the pigeon park and Papi's favorite el Moro.

Happy Birthday Grandma

My present to you was learning to clap, which I did at your birthday dinner.

The Mondriguez Clan

The only one missing is tio Ricky. From top left: Denise & abuelo, Mami & I, titi Vero & tio Carlos, prima Gaby y titi Karla, tio Yan & prima Alejandra. It was so much fun hanging out with everyone and opening more presents.

Mi Prima Alejandra

Que linda es, and sweet too. She gave me kisses and fed me. She's and adventurous little girl constantly climbing on chairs and wondering off on her own. Basically, she doesn't need much attention unlike me and she's already a true leader.
