First Cut

My dad and grandpa were outvoted like 100 to two. A lot of people gave their opinions about my hair but in the end it was my mom who finally decided to take me for a cut. I watched other kids have their turn and I have to say it didn't seem so bad. So I sat on mom's lap and let the man do his thing. Of course, I had to prove dad wrong and sit still. In the end the price I paid with some of my curls was WELL worth the blue tootsie pop I got. I don't know how many licks it took but I got down to the stick thank you very much.

Union City

Living in Union City is like living in another country south of the border. Bergenline Avenue is the Canal Street of our LatinAmericantown. Living here is like being on a perpetual staycation to Quito, or Bogata, or even Santo Domingo. So if you want to have a typical Colombian bandeja paisa that combines white rice and red beans with ground beef, plantain, chorizo, chicharron, arepa, avocado and a fried egg visitanos. Or for a small snack try the Argentinian bakery, mmmmm, delish. It's a wonder we stay so thin!!
